How to properly open/close Modules(not visible) in Attribute DXL

Hello,

does anyone know a performant way to open and close modules in an Attribute DXL?

I know that I have the opportunity to let every object, which the Attribute is executed on, open the module.

Therefore the module will be opened one time and then stays open.

But I wanted to do something like the first object opens the module and the last object close the module.

tl;dr: How can I open and close modules within a Attribute DXL without opening and closing the module several times?

thank you in advance.

Best wishes!

Patrick

Unless you are having memory issues, I would just open the modules and not worry about closing them. I don't see any benefit of open/closing the module unless you are locking external modules from the DXL attribute... which why?

With that said, I know for Layout DXLs there are two functions I have never used or tested but maybe they can help you.

bool isFirstObjectInDXLSet(Object o)
bool isLastObjectInDXLSet(Object o)
